Are the anti-wrinkle injections biological?

Yes, our cosmetic anti-wrinkle injections are made from a sort of purified protein, which is a biologic. In other words, this is a live substance that is used, giving you the softest and most natural results, allowing for facial expressions, just without the wrinkles!

How long will the effects of these anti-wrinkle injections last?

As a general rule, the effects of these anti-wrinkle injections last around 3 months. For first time users however, this might be less. The more follow up sessions that you have, the more the muscles in your face will relax, and the longer the results will last.

How soon will the initial effect of my anti-wrinkle injection settle down?

Straight after your treatment, you may be left with a slight redness where you had it done, however this will disappear after a few hours. You will begin to notice the effects of the procedure anywhere from a few days, up to 2 weeks, as the muscle reacts to the treatment. You will then experience these anti-aging results for up to 3 months.

How long will it be before I notice a difference in my lines and wrinkles?

You will see an improvement in the lines on your face within the first few days, after treatment. It can take up to 2 weeks before the maximum effect is seen however. These effects then can last around 3 months. Follow up sessions are recommended because if it is your first time receiving these anti-wrinkle injections, it may take more than one session for them to properly take hold.

What is a Chemical Skin Peel?

A chemical peel, or skin peel, is a treatment that involves applying a safe solution of chemicals to the skin, which will eventually cause the top layer of skin to gently peel off. By doing this, the newer, softer and younger looking skin is revealed from underneath, which is less wrinkled and much more youthful in appearance.

What are Chemical Skin Peels best used for?

Chemical peels are a great way of rejuvenating the skin, and are especially useful in the treatment of sun damage, age spots, scarring and skin discolouration. Undergoing a chemical peel will also improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and give an all round healthy glow.

How are Chemical Peels done?

Getting a chemical peel is a simple and painless procedure, and the treatment usually consists of the chemical skin peel solution being applied to the skin after cleansing. Our experts are on hand to advise on any aftercare, which is minimal.

What are Dermal Fillers?

Derma Fillers are a popular anti-aging skin treatment that aim to smooth out the appearance of the skin, plumping it up to make a more youthful appearance, and in turn diminishing deep lines and wrinkles. Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is the base of Derma Fillers, which is a solution which naturally occurs in our skin and body. As we age however, this diminishes in us, and therefore skin loses its suppleness and plump appearance.

How do Derma Fillers work?

Derma Fillers work by gently inserting beads of Hyaluronic Acid under the skin, in areas where the suppleness and plumpness has diminished, for example in deep creases where the cheeks have sunk or began to drop.

What are PRP Injections?

PRP injections, otherwise known as Platelet Rich Plasma Injections, use the client’s own blood to stimulate the healing process in the skin. A small amount of blood is drawn from your own body, which then undergoes a process where the platelets are extracted, and the solution is injected into any problem areas on the skin. This treatment is amazing for repairing damaged skin, as well as giving a more youthful appearance to the skin, and encouraging a healthy glow.

How does a derma roller work?

The derma roller has a roller head that is covered with ultra-fine micro-needles. These needles poke holes into your skin and allow air in to the pores. This stimulates collagen production and heals the skin. It is even said to remove acne scarring. It can also help reduce the appearance of stretch marks, age, and sun damage.

How long will Laser Teeth Whitening last?

The lasting effects of teeth whitening depend very much on the individual. The results can last anywhere from 6 months to two years or more.

Does Whitening damage your teeth?

As long as you always have your teeth whitened by a professional, then the correct solutions and ratios will be used, and no damage will be caused to the teeth. Tooth sensitivity can be a side effect of tooth whitening, however. Again, it depends on the individual.  The Pola teeth whitening system that we use has been around for years and produces excellent results.
